Burglar Alarm Installation Belfast
SSAIB certificated burglar and intruder alarm systems for homes and businesses in Belfast, installed and maintained by one local Northern Ireland team.
Intruder Alarm Systems We Install in Belfast
Advanced Overwatch is a certified partner and installer for Ajax and Orisec, our preferred intruder alarm partners.
We are brand-agnostic across the systems we install, which means we specify the system that suits your building and budget. For Belfast customers, we regularly install:
Ajax Systems, wireless intruder alarms with smartphone monitoring, tamper detection, and two-way communication with the monitoring centre. Ideal for period properties in South and East Belfast where cable routes are disruptive.
Texecom, a UK manufacturer of both residential and commercial graded alarms. The Texecom Premier range delivers BS EN 50131 Grade 2 and Grade 3 systems for residential through to high-risk commercial applications.
Orisec, an IP-first alarm system with native cloud connectivity, remote engineer access, and strong app-based user control. Popular with multi-site businesses in Belfast city centre and commercial districts.
Pyronix, a stalwart of the UK alarm industry, offering wired, hybrid, and wireless systems with reliable long-track-record hardware.
Residential Burglar Alarms in Belfast
Whether you live in a terraced house in East Belfast, a new build in Holywood, or an apartment in the Cathedral Quarter, we design systems that fit the building without unnecessary disruption. Wireless systems in particular are well-suited to Belfast’s older housing stock, where concealed wiring is difficult or impossible.
Our residential installations include:
- Motion sensors (PIR detectors) for internal coverage
- Door and window contacts for perimeter protection
- Outdoor bell boxes, an important visual deterrent
- Internal siren, immediate alert when triggered
- App-based control and arming/disarming
- Grade 2 certification for insurance compliance
We do not use one-size-fits-all alarm kits. Every residential installation is preceded by a free site survey.
Commercial Intruder Alarms in Belfast
Belfast businesses face specific risks: commercial premises in busy districts attract opportunistic theft, while offices and warehouses on the outskirts need reliable alarm infrastructure often some distance from police response. We design commercial systems with both deterrence and verified response in mind. Our Belfast burglar alarm buyer’s guide explains grades, monitoring and police response.
For commercial customers we install:
- Grade 2 and Grade 3 systems to BS EN 50131
- Confirmed detection technology (to reduce false alarm response costs)
- Police URN (Unique Reference Number) eligible systems for verified response
- CCTV integration, alarm events trigger camera recording and optional monitoring centre review
- Remote access for engineers, fault response without a site visit for many issues
We work with Belfast businesses across the retail, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, and professional services sectors.
SSAIB certificated Alarm Installer, Belfast
Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems. This means every alarm system we install is designed, commissioned, and documented to an independently audited standard, not just to our own internal quality assurance.
For customers whose insurance requires an SSAIB or NSI-certified installation, we can confirm our certification in writing as part of the survey documentation.

How quickly can you install a burglar alarm in Belfast?
For standard residential and small commercial installations, we typically schedule within 5-10 working days of survey sign-off. Larger or more complex commercial systems may take longer depending on specification. Emergency installations can sometimes be accommodated at shorter notice. Call our Belfast line on 028 9099 3566 to discuss.
Do I need an alarm monitoring contract with Advanced Overwatch?
No. We install and commission your alarm system. Monitoring (where your alarm is connected to a 24/7 response centre) is a separate service we can arrange through our approved monitoring partners, but it is not a condition of installation. Many of our residential customers self-monitor via app, they receive instant notifications and decide whether to call police or a keyholder themselves.
How much does a burglar and intruder alarm system cost in Belfast?
There is no standard price. Each Belfast job is quoted from its own survey. Book the free survey and we will recommend a system that suits the building and the budget. No obligation either way.
Are your Belfast installations SSAIB certificated?
Yes. Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems. This means every system we fit in Belfast is installed and maintained to recognised industry standards.
