Thousands of premises secured since 2017
Fit the alarm to the house.
The wiring choice follows your home, its risks and the work you are planning. We agree the equipment and grade at the survey.
Wired
A practical option during building work, rewiring or where suitable cable routes already exist.
Wireless
Useful in an occupied home where a suitable supervised radio system can reduce cabling.
Hybrid
A compatible panel can combine wired and wireless devices where that suits the property.
Grade, insurance and the written specification
Risk comes first
Grade 2 is common in homes, but it is not a default for every household. Higher risks may need a higher grade. The survey considers the applicable BS EN 50131 requirements and PD 6662 specification.
Bring your policy
Give us your insurer’s written conditions before the design is agreed. Grade, monitoring, setting, maintenance and certification requirements vary. No installer can promise acceptance on the insurer’s behalf.
Record the scope
The proposal sets out detectors, coverage, power backup, signalling, user controls and aftercare. Existing systems need an assessment before takeover or expansion is agreed.
Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems.
Protection that fits life at home.
Pets, furniture and the way you use the house belong in the detector plan.
Tell us about every pet.
Size, movement and climbing habits affect the design.
Pet tolerance needs the right setup.
The detector model, siting and settings determine suitability. Pet tolerance does not eliminate every unwanted activation.
Position matters.
Furniture, curtains, draughts and direct sun can affect the view.
Protect the openings.
Door and window contacts can complement the agreed room detection.
Make everyday use straightforward.
Explain separate users, entry routes and supported part-setting.
A night setting for your household.
Agree which areas remain protected and where people or pets can move. Test the arrangement at handover.
Keep users and routines up to date, including guest permissions where supported. Read our guide to reducing false activations.
Installation and aftercare.
Agree the work before installation, then keep the system and its records current.
Ongoing maintenance
Checks matched to the system.
The agreed schedule covers detectors, warning devices, standby power and signalling where fitted. Remote checks depend on suitability and applicable requirements. Keep service records and report changes in the household or property.
Professional installation
A system you know how to use.
We fit and configure the agreed equipment, test its operation and demonstrate setting, unsetting, entry routes and supported app controls. Battery replacement, maintenance and call-out terms belong in the written agreement.
App alerts, monitoring, or both.
Decide who should receive an activation and what happens next.
Compatible app access can provide setting, status and notifications, subject to the system, permissions and connectivity. Acting on a household alert depends on an available person. App and communication charges vary with the chosen service.
Optional intruder monitoring goes through our monitoring partner’s NSI Gold certified Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), following your agreed response plan. Keyholder attendance is a separately agreed service. Police response depends on the applicable PSNI requirements and circumstances; attendance is not guaranteed.
Sounders, strobes, confirmation and signalling follow the configured design. If an activation suggests a break-in, stay somewhere safe and call 999 if there is immediate danger or a crime in progress.
Discuss the house, pets and insurer requirements. We will put the options in writing.
