Public sector security systems and maintenance

Advanced Overwatch designs, installs and maintains CCTV, intruder alarms and access control for public sector organisations across Northern Ireland. We support estates and facilities teams with new systems, upgrades and planned preventative maintenance, backed by experience with councils, universities and public-space CCTV.

Experience with councils, campuses and public spaces

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council

Planned preventative maintenance contracts for CCTV and intruder alarm systems. Our experience covers both routine CCTV inspections and the servicing of intruder alarms across council premises.

Ulster University

A CCTV maintenance contract covering the university’s campuses. The scope includes planned servicing, repairs, software updates, replacement equipment and training for staff using the systems.

Mid Ulster District Council

CCTV installation, maintenance and monitoring for Mid Ulster District Council across the region.

Safer Causeway

Operation and monitoring of the town-centre CCTV systems in Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart since 2022. Our work includes camera upgrades, maintenance and the creation of a dedicated control room. Safer Causeway owns and manages the scheme.

Planned preventative maintenance

Keep your security systems working, with servicing organised and faults followed up.

Our planned preventative maintenance agreements cover CCTV, intruder alarms and access control. Your team gets an agreed service schedule, dated visit records and a clear route for fault support.

Visits are planned around site access and operating hours. We check the equipment, record faults and explain the repairs or replacements that need attention, helping you plan the upkeep of your buildings.

CCTV

Camera views, image quality, recording settings and the condition of the equipment.

Maintenance guidance: BS EN IEC 62676-4.

Intruder alarms

Detectors, door contacts, sounders, standby batteries and alarm signalling.

Maintenance: BS 9263.

Access control

Readers, exit devices and emergency release functions.

Maintenance guidance: BS EN 60839-11-2.

Existing systems are welcome. We assess equipment installed by other companies and explain what can be maintained, what needs attention and where an upgrade would be worthwhile.
