From the first visit to your action plan
Before the visit
We agree the scope and arrange a visit around your premises. Existing plans, assessments and maintenance records help us understand the building before we arrive.
At your premises
We examine the fire hazards, escape routes, detection, emergency lighting, signage and fire doors, alongside how the building is used.
The assessment considers the people who use the premises, including anyone who may need help to leave, and the procedures staff follow.
After the assessment
You receive a written assessment with prioritised recommendations and a review date. We explain the findings so you can plan the next steps.
If improvements are needed, we can quote separately for fire detection, emergency lighting, extinguishers and maintenance.

Fire safety in Northern Ireland
For most non-domestic premises, the person with control of the premises must arrange a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment. The assessment should be reviewed regularly and when significant changes affect its validity.

Which premises can you assess?
We assess businesses and other non-domestic premises across Northern Ireland, including shops, offices, industrial premises, hospitality venues and community buildings. We confirm the scope for your building before the visit.
How often should the assessment be reviewed?
Review it regularly and whenever there is reason to think it is no longer valid, or a significant change affects fire safety. Changes to use, occupancy, layout or processes may require a review.
Can you review an existing assessment?
Yes. We can review the previous assessment alongside the current building and its use, identify changes and provide an updated action plan where required.
Can you carry out recommended improvements?
We can quote separately for fire detection, emergency lighting, extinguishers and planned maintenance. Other recommendations are identified clearly in the action plan.
How is the assessment quoted?
The quote reflects the size, use and complexity of the premises and the scope of the assessment. We explain the proposed work before you decide.
