CCTV Installation in Portrush, Northern Ireland
Advanced Overwatch installs, monitors and maintains CCTV systems for homes and businesses across Portrush and the wider Causeway Coast. Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems. We have been installing security systems throughout Northern Ireland since 2017. Every system starts with a free site survey, and every camera layout is designed around the building and the risk in front of us, never a template.

CCTV systems we install in Portrush
For CCTV systems, Advanced Overwatch is a certified partner and installer for Dahua, Hikvision and Hanwha Vision, and a Dahua certified Integration Partner.
We specify systems by what the property actually needs, not by what is quickest to fit:
- IP camera systems recording to a network video recorder, with resolution high enough to identify a face or read a registration plate rather than simply confirm that something happened.
- 4K and low-light cameras suited to the long dusks and bright reflected light of a seafront setting, so footage stays usable after dark and in glare off the water.
- Weather-rated, vandal-resistant housings built for salt air, wind and exposed coastal mounting positions, where standard indoor-grade hardware corrodes and fails.
- Remote-viewable systems that let a guesthouse owner, publican or holiday-let landlord check any camera from a phone, which matters most when a seasonal premises is closed and empty out of season.
Every install is commissioned, tested and handed over with the client shown how to use it, and we maintain what we fit.
Why choose Advanced Overwatch
We cover Portrush, Portstewart and the wider Causeway Coast. Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems. Certification covers quality management (ISO 9001), environmental management (ISO 14001), information security (ISO 27001) and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001). We install equipment from a range of manufacturers including Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha and Paxton, so we specify the right camera for the job rather than the only one we stock. And as the contracted operator of the Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart town centre CCTV, we bring public-space monitoring experience to every private system we design.
Portrush town centre CCTV
Advanced Overwatch does more than install private CCTV in Portrush. We monitor the Portrush town centre CCTV network, part of the public space CCTV scheme owned and managed by Safer Causeway across Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart, which we have operated and maintained under contract since 2022. We upgraded every camera and built a new, state-of-the-art town centre CCTV control room, and the network is watched by our public-space, SIA-licensed CCTV operators. They work on a daily basis with the Community Rescue Service to help locate high-risk missing and vulnerable people. It is a depth of public space monitoring experience most local installers cannot point to. Read more about our town centre CCTV monitoring.
Security built for a coastal resort town
The security brief in Portrush changes with the season. Hospitality and retail premises run flat out through the summer and event weekends, then shutter for months, so remote monitoring and reliable off-season alerting matter as much as coverage. Self-catering holiday lets and second homes sit empty for long stretches and benefit from remotely checkable cameras. Licensed premises and the harbour-front night-time economy need coverage designed for crowds, low light and public safety. And every camera has to survive a genuinely harsh coastal environment. We factor all of it into the design rather than fitting the same kit we would use for an inland unit.
Certified, audited and independent
We are not a franchise and we do not work from a head-office script. One independently certified team, based in Coleraine.

Check a specific postcodeCCTV security in Portrush, your questions
Do you install CCTV for holiday lets and seasonal businesses in Portrush?
Yes. A large share of Portrush property is holiday lets, guesthouses and seasonal hospitality that stands empty out of season. We design remote-viewable systems so owners can check any camera from a phone wherever they are, and we size the system to the risk during both the busy season and the quiet months.
Is your CCTV equipment suitable for Portrush's coastal, salt-air conditions?
Yes. Standard indoor-grade cameras corrode quickly in a salt-laden seafront environment. For coastal installs we specify weather-rated, corrosion-resistant housings and mounting suited to wind and exposure, so the system keeps working where cheaper hardware fails.
Do you really monitor the Portrush town centre CCTV?
Yes. Advanced Overwatch operates and monitors the Portrush town centre CCTV network, which is owned and managed by Safer Causeway, under contract since 2022. We upgraded every camera and monitor the network from a new, purpose-built town centre control room staffed by our public-space, SIA-licensed CCTV operators.
How quickly can you survey a property in Portrush?
We offer a free, no-obligation site survey before any quote. Contact us with your property and requirements and we will arrange a convenient time to assess the site and recommend a system designed around it.
