CCTV Installation in Ballymena, County Antrim
SSAIB certificated CCTV for Ballymena, industrial and commercial site coverage, town-centre retail loss-prevention and home systems sized to the property.
Reading Ballymena’s crime pattern through a camera
Ballymena’s recorded figures are among the highest we cover, and the mix on this page is telling, high anti-social behaviour and violent crime, but also elevated shoplifting, drugs and one of the higher burglary counts locally.
A camera earns its place across that whole spread. Shop theft and anti-social behaviour in the retail core are deterred and documented by visible, evidential-quality coverage. The genuine burglary and commercial-theft figure means industrial and business premises need perimeter, yard and access-point cameras that catch an intrusion before it reaches the stock, and homes need clear approach-and-entry coverage. Because the offences here are as much property and commercial as they are public-order, CCTV and intruder detection tend to work best designed together. We position cameras to the site’s real risk points.

Ballymena has a strong industrial and commercial base, and for those sites we design CCTV around the perimeter, yard, loading and access-control points, with footage quality suitable for evidential use and ANPR on entrances where it earns its place. We size and position cameras to the site rather than fitting a standard package. Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems. We can integrate cameras with door entry on one system.
For town-centre retail around Fairhill, the Tower Centre and Wellington Street the design shifts to loss prevention and staff safety, entrances, tills, aisles and service yards with evidential-quality footage. For a typical Ballymena home four cameras often covers the front and rear approaches, driveway and any side access or outbuilding, while larger or rural properties toward Broughshane and Cullybackey may need more to reach sheds and field entrances. Every system is surveyed and designed to the property’s layout and risk points.
How we cover Ballymena’s sites
Industrial and commercial coverage is where Ballymena’s camera work concentrates. On the Woodside and Galgorm estates and the larger sites the design is about perimeters, yards, loading bays and vehicle movement, catching an intrusion at the fence line rather than the office door, with ANPR on entrances and cameras tied to access control so one system runs the whole site. Footage is specified for evidential quality because on a commercial claim that is what counts.
Retail around Fairhill and the Tower Centre is designed for loss prevention across entrances, tills, aisles and service yards, given the elevated local shop-theft figure. Homes are simpler, typically four cameras on the approaches, driveway and side access, but larger or rural properties toward Broughshane and Cullybackey need more to reach sheds and field entrances. Every position is set at survey against the site’s real sightlines rather than a standard layout.
Covering Ballymena and the wider Mid & East Antrim area
We install and maintain CCTV across Ballymena town and the surrounding Mid and East Antrim area on one mid-Antrim route, so an industrial site and a rural home can be handled by the same team. That run takes in Broughshane, Cullybackey, Ahoghill, Kells and Galgorm and the Co Antrim townlands around them. We arrange surveys as the route allows rather than quote a timed response we cannot guarantee.
Certified, audited and independent
We are not a franchise and we do not work from a head-office script. One independently certified team, based in Coleraine.

CCTV in Ballymena, your questions answered
Do you install CCTV for industrial and commercial units around Ballymena?
Yes. Ballymena has a strong industrial and commercial base, from the Michelin/Wrightbus legacy sites to Woodside and Galgorm business areas. For these we design CCTV around perimeter, yard, loading and access-control points, with footage quality suitable for evidential use. We size and position cameras to the site rather than fitting a standard package, and can integrate with access control. Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems.
How many CCTV cameras does a Ballymena home usually need?
For a typical Ballymena home four cameras often covers the front and rear approaches, driveway and any side access or outbuilding. Larger or rural properties toward Broughshane and Cullybackey may need more to reach sheds and field entrances. We survey and design to your property’s layout and risk points.
Ballymena has higher recorded crime than most towns, does CCTV help with that mix?
Yes. The local mix runs high on anti-social behaviour and shop theft as well as burglary, and those are the offences a visible, well-placed camera both deters and documents with evidential-quality footage. For business premises we combine that with perimeter and access coverage so an intrusion is caught before it reaches the stock. We design to the site’s real risk points.
Can you integrate Ballymena CCTV with access control and alarms?
Yes. Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems. On a commercial or industrial site we can design cameras, door entry and intruder detection as one connected system rather than three separate installs. We confirm what the site needs at survey.
