CCTV Rental Systems Northern Ireland
Rent the latest IP CCTV without the large up-front cost, a fully installed, maintained and supported system from a low daily rate, right across Northern Ireland.
Security for businesses and homes across N.I.
Rent CCTV for the way your site works.
From an installed camera system to temporary coverage, the starting point is the job you need CCTV to do. Choose the closest setting to see the decisions we make with you.
Business premises
An installed system for everyday use.
Camera positions, image objectives and access are planned around how your premises operate. Rental terms and support are agreed alongside the system specification.
- Coverage
- Entrances, work areas and relevant boundaries.
- Recording
- Storage and retention suited to the purpose.
- Users
- Agreed viewing and export permissions.
- Aftercare
- Maintenance and updates defined in the agreement.
Project sites
Temporary coverage as the site changes.
A tower or other temporary arrangement can be considered for construction phases, plant compounds and outdoor projects. Site access, power and usable connectivity are checked before deployment.
- Location
- Views, ground conditions and safe positioning.
- Power
- Supply, charging and service requirements.
- Connection
- Test the available mobile or site connection.
- Programme
- Delivery, commissioning, moves and collection.
Vacant properties
A defined plan while the building is empty.
Agree the areas to watch, the events that need attention and the people who can authorise access or action. Review the arrangement when occupancy or the site condition changes.
- Scope
- Relevant external areas and access routes.
- Monitoring
- Events and coverage agreed for the service.
- Contacts
- Current authorised contacts and escalation.
- Changes
- A plan for handover, new tenants or collection.
Homes
A rental enquiry for your home.
We assess the property and explain the proposed equipment, installation and agreement. Camera coverage and everyday access should be useful without collecting more than is needed.
- Views
- The parts of your property you need to see.
- Privacy
- Neighbours, public space and audio considered.
- Access
- Supported apps and authorised household users.
- Agreement
- Term, inclusions and end-of-term arrangements.
Two different starting points
Installed rental or temporary hire?
The agreement follows the equipment and the site. Use these questions to compare the proposal, rather than assuming every rental includes the same service.
Scroll the table sideways on a small screen.
| Decision | Installed system rental | Temporary CCTV hire | Agree before work starts |
|---|---|---|---|
| The site | A camera system designed into the premises. | Coverage for a project, temporary risk or vacant site. | The views, purpose and duration of the requirement. |
| Power & connection | Check the building supply, cable routes and network. | Check site supply or the selected off-grid arrangement, plus usable connectivity. | Access, capacity, data provision and loss-of-service arrangements. |
| Recording & access | Recorder or storage platform and supported viewing tools. | Recording and remote access suited to the deployment. | Retention, permissions, exports and responsibilities for the footage. |
| Monitoring | Available where included in the specified service. | Available where included in the hire arrangement. | Monitored events, hours, contacts and agreed actions. |
| Support & changes | Servicing, updates and upgrade terms need a defined scope. | Moves, service visits and equipment changes need a defined scope. | Inclusions, exclusions, responsibilities and callout arrangements. |
| The end of the term | Review renewal, removal or any purchase option in the agreement. | Arrange collection and the handling of recordings and access. | Notice, final charges, data handover and removal responsibilities. |
Make the agreement clear.
The quotation identifies the equipment, initial charges, term, payments and included support. Updates, upgrades, data allowances and monitoring must be specified rather than assumed.
A site survey establishes the work needed before we give a deployment programme. A temporary tower still needs suitable positioning, site access and any relevant permissions.
Keep control of the recordings.
Renting equipment does not remove privacy responsibilities. Record who decides how the system is used, who handles recordings and what each party is responsible for. Retention follows the purpose, not a universal number of days.
An agreed service
From the survey to the handover.
1. Assess the site
Start with the views you need, operating conditions and available power and connectivity. Establish whether installed rental or a temporary arrangement suits the requirement.
2. Install & commission
Agree access and delivery, fit the specified equipment and check the image objectives, recording and selected functions before handover.
3. Check the connection
Confirm the usable connection and data provision. Where off-grid power is considered, plan capacity, charging or servicing for the site and season.
4. Agree the monitoring
Where included, CCTV monitoring is provided through 24-hour NI CCTV Monitoring from Advanced Overwatch, with events, coverage and escalation specified. Police attendance is not automatic.
5. Define the aftercare
Record the maintenance, software updates and fault-reporting arrangements. Equipment changes, moves and callouts follow the agreed terms.
6. Hand over access
Show authorised users how to view and export relevant footage. Record permissions, retention and what happens to data and equipment at the end of the agreement.
Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems.
CCTV rental, answered.
How much should I pay for CCTV installation?
Compare the complete scope: camera views, image objectives, recording, cabling, access, installation, commissioning and support. A useful quotation explains the equipment and work rather than giving a camera-count price alone. We assess the property before preparing the proposal.
How much does it cost to have CCTV installed?
The cost depends on the site and the specified system. For rental, review the initial charges, ongoing payments, contract term and end-of-term arrangements as well as the installation scope. A written quotation sets out the proposed option; no general daily rate or equipment price is published here.
What is included in a CCTV rental agreement?
The written agreement defines the equipment, installation, training, maintenance, updates, viewing access and any monitoring included. It should also identify data allowances, exclusions, callout terms and responsibilities. Do not assume every rental includes unlimited streaming, automatic upgrades, free installation or a response service.
Can I rent CCTV for a short period rather than a long contract?
A short-term requirement can be assessed separately from a longer installed-system rental. We consider the project, equipment availability, deployment and collection arrangements before agreeing the term. Any extension, relocation or equipment change should be covered by the agreement rather than treated as automatic.
Who is responsible for the footage on a rented system?
Responsibilities depend on who decides the purpose and essential means of using the cameras, and who handles footage on their behalf. Renting the hardware does not decide those roles on its own. Agree access, retention, notices, disclosure procedures and the relevant contractual responsibilities. The ICO guidance applies where the use falls within data-protection law.
What standard are rented systems installed to?
The specification should state the applicable system and installation requirements and the handover evidence. The BS EN 62676 series covers different aspects of video surveillance; its general system-requirements part is not a complete installation code. We establish image objectives, recording, access and commissioning for the project, rather than promise a universal 31-day retention period or one equipment type.
Can I rent a system for a home as well as a business?
Yes, enquiries can cover homes as well as businesses. We survey the property and explain the proposed system and agreement. The term, installation, maintenance, updates, viewing access and any monitoring are defined for that proposal, rather than assumed to be identical for every customer.
