BELFAST ALARM MONITORING

CCTV and intruder monitoring, clearly explained

We can plan CCTV and intruder alarm monitoring around the same premises while keeping each service’s responsibilities clear. CCTV monitoring is delivered through NI CCTV Monitoring from Advanced Overwatch; intruder signals go to our partner’s ARC. See the full monitoring service or the areas we cover.

Intruder Alarm Monitoring

Intruder alarm signals are handled by our monitoring partner's NSI Gold certified ARC. Signalling and escalation requirements are agreed for your system. Police response depends on eligibility and confirmation.

CCTV and Visual Verification

CCTV is monitored through NI CCTV Monitoring from Advanced Overwatch. We assess camera coverage and connectivity, then agree the video monitoring and response arrangements for your premises.

Access control integration

Access control can form part of the wider security design. We assess integration requirements separately and explain which functions are included in your solution.

0
property offences

Police open data records exactly 1,000 offences where somebody was physically on the premises within about a mile of Belfast city centre between January and June 2026: burglary, robbery, criminal damage and arson, and vehicle crime. Victoria Square, Botanic Avenue and Dudley Street come up most often.

0
were burglaries

147 of those 1,000 were burglaries, spread fairly evenly across the six months rather than bunched into one bad week. Shoplifting and anti social behaviour run at far higher volumes in the city centre, but they rarely involve forcing a door.

0
with a published result

Not one of the 1,000 had a concluded result recorded at the time of writing. 709 were still under investigation and 291 carried no status update. That is the argument for monitoring in a single number: the file stays open for months, so the part you can still influence is what happens during the event.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Four steps, and you can stop after the first

Free survey

An engineer looks at what you already have and whether it can signal reliably as it stands. Free, no obligation, and you are not signing anything.

01

Fixed quote

A written monthly price, plus any one off work needed to connect you, agreed before anything starts. No day rates that drift and no surprise on the invoice.

02

Connection day

We connect your systems, test every signal path end to end and agree your escalation list: who gets called, in what order, and at what hour.

03

Live cover and aftercare

You get a real phone number that reaches an engineer, a keyholder option if you want one, and a review of false activations so your response stays worth having.

Alarm monitoring questions from Belfast customers

Yes. We arrange intruder alarm monitoring for Belfast premises through our monitoring partner’s NSI Gold certified ARC. CCTV monitoring is provided by NI CCTV Monitoring from Advanced Overwatch. Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems. Call 028 7087 8077 to discuss your requirements.

It depends on how many systems you want monitored, how many signal paths they need and whether your existing equipment can connect as it stands, so we will not quote a figure blind. One monitored intruder alarm on a house is a small monthly cost. A multi site retail or hospitality group with cameras on every unit is a different conversation. We survey first, give you a fixed written price, and you are free to walk away at that point. Worth knowing before you decide: many commercial insurers require monitored alarms as a condition of cover, particularly for higher sums insured or higher risk premises, so ask your insurer what they expect.

Yes, subject to system suitability. Intruder alarm monitoring uses our monitoring partner’s NSI Gold certified ARC, while NI CCTV Monitoring from Advanced Overwatch provides video monitoring. We set out the scope and response arrangements for each service before connection.

The intruder signal reaches our monitoring partner’s NSI Gold certified ARC, where operators follow the agreed response plan. Police response depends on the system, confirmation and applicable police requirements; it is not automatic. Keyholder arrangements are agreed for the premises.

Usually more easily than people expect. Most panels can be reprogrammed to signal to a different Alarm Receiving Centre without replacing the equipment, so switching is often a configuration change and a new contract rather than a new installation. Check your notice period with your current provider first, because that is what normally sets the date. We survey what you have and tell you honestly whether it can be reused. If a panel is genuinely at end of life we will say so rather than take a monthly fee to monitor something that will not signal reliably.
