CCTV and Alarm Installation in Keady
CCTV, alarms, access control and fire safety for Keady, covering the units on the edge of town, Market Street premises and the farms out along the border roads.
Using Keady's crime report properly
Keady is a small town with a working edge: units, yards and farms rather than a long retail street. Recorded crime in a place this size arrives in ones and twos, which tells you very little on its own. What it does tell you is that most premises will be left to look after themselves for long stretches.
So the question we ask on a survey is simple: if something happened here tonight, what would you have in the morning. For a unit backing onto fields, the answer usually means a camera on the rear boundary as well as the front, because the quiet side is the one that gets used. For a shop on Market Street it means the doorway and the counter at a resolution that identifies someone rather than describing them.

Keady has more industry than its size suggests. Light manufacturing and food units sit on the edge of the town, on sites where the yard opens onto farmland instead of another building, and that rear boundary is the part a frontage-only design misses. We survey the back fence and any field access on the same visit as the front door, and we look at where lorries turn, because that is where gates get left open.
In the town itself the stock is older: Market Street shops, former mill buildings now split into workshops and small business units, and housing mixed through it. A converted mill usually has several tenants behind one front door, so the sensible answer is shared door entry with separate alarm areas for each unit, rather than one system everybody argues over. Out past Tassagh and Darkley it is farms again, with the yard a long way from the nearest neighbour.
What we install in Keady
CCTV installation
Camera systems for unit yards, rear boundaries, shopfronts and farm lanes, viewable on a phone or tablet. In Keady the position that earns its keep is often the one looking back across open ground behind a building, and we specify infrared and lens choice for that distance rather than fitting the same camera everywhere.
More on CCTV installation.
Intruder alarms
Intruder alarms for business units, shops, converted mill workspaces and homes. In a multi-tenant building each unit can have its own area and its own code, so one tenant working late does not involve anyone else. External detection can be added where a yard or a rear door needs cover before someone reaches the building.

Access control and door entry
Door entry and access control for shared buildings, production doors, stores and yard gates. Where a building holds several businesses, a single entry panel with individual codes gives each tenant control of their own door and leaves a record of who came in. Credentials are added or removed from a screen when tenants change.
More on access control.
Fire alarms and emergency lighting
Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting for Keady workshops, production units, shops, offices and rented homes. Older converted buildings are the tricky ones, with stairwells, shared corridors and more than one occupier, so detection and escape lighting are planned for the whole building rather than unit by unit.

Monitoring and maintenance
CCTV can be monitored through 24-hour NI CCTV Monitoring from Advanced Overwatch, and intruder and fire alarm monitoring is provided through our monitoring partner’s NSI Gold certified Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).
Servicing is planned rather than left until something stops working, and we are glad to take over equipment fitted by another company if it is worth keeping. Where a system is online, a remote look often identifies the fault, so a visit is made with the right part in the van instead of twice.

CCTV and alarms in Keady, your questions answered
How do you secure a unit on the edge of Keady?
By treating the rear boundary as a front door. Units here back onto open farmland, which gives a quiet approach that a camera on the entrance will never see. We cover the yard, the field side and the goods doors, then use access control on staff and production entrances so normal working does not set anything off.
Can several tenants share one system in a Keady building?
Yes, and it is the neat answer for converted mill and workshop buildings. One door entry panel handles the main entrance, while each unit gets its own alarm area, its own code and its own app access. Nobody can set or unset a neighbour’s area, and the landlord can hold control of common parts and the main door.
Do you install security on farms outside Keady?
Yes. Holdings around Tassagh, Darkley and Granemore sit well back from the road with sheds spread around the yard, so we cover the lane, the yard and the buildings holding machinery and fuel. Where there is no broadband at that end of the farm, a 4G camera keeps the view on your phone anyway.
Is an alarm enough, or do I need cameras too?
It depends what you want from it. An alarm tells you something is happening and makes noise. Cameras tell you who, where and how, and give you something to hand to police afterwards. Most premises end up with both, sized sensibly: detection inside, cameras on the ways in. We will tell you if one is enough on its own.
Which villages near Keady do you cover?
Keady, Darkley, Madden, Granemore, Tassagh, Derrynoose and Middletown, and on to Armagh, Markethill and Crossmaglen. Border-side holdings and units are surveyed and quoted the same way as anywhere else. We are based in Coleraine and work the whole of Northern Ireland, so being at the far end of the county makes no difference to the survey or the install.
