BT Redcare will cease operations in August of 2025 affecting anyone who has their premises monitored via this method.
Firstly, our customers need not worry, as any of our clients utilising BT Redcare services will be migrated onto alternative monitoring during routine service visits.
What is BT Redcare?
BT Redcare is a secure method of alarm monitoring which has been in operation for over 30 years. The service provides continuous monitoring of a BT telephone line that links a professionally installed alarm system on your premises to an alarm receiving centre. The last date BT are accepting orders for Redcare is 29th February 2024.
Why is BT Redcare closing?
According to the “Important notice” sent to customers, which was distributed via both first-class post and email, BT says they have “made the difficult to decision to close all BT Redcare operations on 1st August 2025” (or earlier if your services are contractually due to expire earlier).
BT Redcare say they “appreciate that this will not be welcome news” and hence why they’re giving “as much notice as we possibly can“, which is at least some consolation.
By closing Redcare, BT are simplifying their service offerings.
I have BT Redcare, what do I need to do?
