These terms govern your use of this website. Please read them before you use the site. By using it you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems.

What this site is, and what it is not
This is an information site. It describes what we do and lets you ask us to get in touch. It is not a place to report an emergency, and it is not monitored around the clock. If your alarm has activated, you have had a break in, or you need us urgently, telephone us. Do not use a form.
Using the site
You may read, print and download pages from this site for your own use, or for the internal purposes of the organisation you work for, provided you do not remove any copyright or trade mark notice.
You agree not to:
- use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that breaches anyone else’s rights;
- copy, republish or sell our content, or use it to build a competing service;
- attempt to gain access to any part of the site, server or database you are not authorised to reach, test its security, or interfere with how it works for anyone else;
- introduce anything malicious, or use any automated system to scrape or overload the site;
- submit anything false or misleading, including someone else’s contact details as if they were your own.
We may withdraw access if you breach these terms. Where we believe an offence has been committed we will report it and cooperate with the police.
The information we publish
We take care to keep this site accurate and current, but it is general information, not advice for your particular property or premises. Security requirements depend on the building, the risk and, for fire and emergency lighting, on the responsible person’s own risk assessment. Standards and regulations also change.
Nothing here is a substitute for a site survey. Please do not make a decision that matters on the strength of a web page alone. Where we give a price or a price range on this site it is indicative, for guidance only, and not an offer. A binding price comes from a written quotation for your site.
Crime data
Our crime lookup and town reports use recorded crime data published by the UK Home Office at data.police.uk, which for Northern Ireland is supplied by the Police Service of Northern Ireland. That data is published under the Open Government Licence and we reproduce it under that licence. It is not ours and we cannot correct it.
Two things are worth knowing about it. It counts crimes recorded by the police, so it does not show crime that was never reported. And the locations are deliberately approximate: the police map each crime to a nearby anonymous point so that no address can be identified. Counts within a radius are therefore a reasonable guide to an area, not a precise statement about a street. We publish it to help people understand their area, and it should not be read as a judgement about any particular address, business or neighbourhood.
Our crime reporting tool itself, including the town reports, maps, charts, tables, written analysis and the way the data is selected, combined and presented, is copyright © Advanced Overwatch Limited. You may view it and share links to it, but you may not copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish or reuse the tool or its outputs, or use them to build a competing service, without our written permission. This does not affect anyone’s rights in the underlying police data under the Open Government Licence. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Our free tools
Any checker, calculator or guide we offer without charge is there to help you think about a problem. It gives general guidance based on what you enter, it does not know your circumstances, and it is not legal or regulatory advice. You remain responsible for your own compliance.
Enquiries and quotations
Sending an enquiry does not create a contract and does not oblige either of us to anything. If we go on to work for you, that work is supplied under a separate written agreement, and where anything in it conflicts with these website terms, that agreement takes precedence.
Intellectual property
The content of this site, including text, images, logos, layout and the design of our tools, belongs to us or to our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. The Advanced Overwatch name and logo are ours. Product and manufacturer names belong to their respective owners and are used to describe what we install, not to imply any endorsement beyond the certifications and partnerships we state.
You may link to our home page or to any page on this site, provided you do so fairly and do not suggest an association or endorsement that does not exist. Please do not frame our pages within another site.
Other websites we link to
Where we link to another organisation, we do it because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement. Their terms and privacy policies are their own.
Availability
We do not promise the site will always be available or free of faults. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and we may update these terms. We will not always be able to give notice.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, and because this site is provided free of charge, we are not liable for business losses arising from your use of it, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data or any indirect or consequential loss. We do not accept liability for a decision taken purely on the basis of information on this site rather than on a survey or a written quotation, or for any loss caused by content published by a third party, including the crime data described above.
None of this affects our responsibilities under any contract for work we carry out for you. Those are set out in that contract.
If you are a consumer
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If any part of these terms is found to be unfair or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Your privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Notice. Cookies are covered in our Cookie Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time, and the version published here is the one that applies each time you use the site. The date at the top tells you when they last changed, so please check them from time to time.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
