Integrated Security Systems

One platform for CCTV, access control, intruder detection and fire signals, designed and installed by one company, with cameras watched from our own 24-hour CCTV Monitoring Control Room.

Make the connections
that matter.

Cameras, doors and alarms become more useful when the right information reaches the right person. Start with what your premises needs to do.

CCTV

See the event in context.

Connect relevant camera views and recordings to supported alarm or door events, so an authorised person can review what happened.

Access control

Give a door event more context.

Where the systems support it, bring available door and credential records alongside video. User permissions and event retention are agreed for your site.

Intruder alarms

Give an activation a clear route.

Agree the alarm signalling, available verification and response arrangements. Intruder monitoring is provided through our monitoring partner’s NSI Gold certified Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).

Fire interfaces

Keep life safety clearly defined.

Any interface with a fire system must follow the building’s fire strategy and the equipment specification. Escape, release and fault behaviour are agreed and tested.

Video analytics

Focus attention on relevant activity.

Supported analytics can help identify selected events and filter some nuisance activity. Results depend on camera placement, conditions and configuration.

1 of 5 connections

Integration may use one platform or supported links between systems. We confirm compatibility, software, licences and the agreed behaviour before installation.

An example incident

From a door event
to an informed decision.

A useful integration has a purpose. Here is how an after-hours door event could be handled when the specified systems support these connections.

01

An event is raised

A configured door contact reports an after-hours opening or forced-door event.

02

The context is available

Supported links bring the relevant camera view and available door records into the review.

03

A person reviews it

The responsible team checks the information available to them and follows the agreed response plan.

04

The agreed action follows

That may mean contacting a keyholder or requesting an eligible response. The action and record depend on your arrangement.

Example sequence, not a promise of automatic verification, response time or police attendance. The survey establishes who receives each event and what they can view.

Start with what
you already have.

You may not need to replace every camera, panel or door controller. We check what is suitable to keep, what can connect and what needs to change.

The review covers models, software versions, equipment condition, network requirements and any licences.

One joined-up plan.
A practical way
to get there.

We design around the people, entrances and routines that keep your building working.

Survey the existing systems. Agree the interfaces and response rules. Plan the installation and test the handover with your team.

Where a phased change is appropriate, we agree the sequence, any interruptions and how protection is maintained during the work.

SSAIB Certified, NIRE127

Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems.

Know who receives each alert.

Connected systems still need clear responsibilities.

Agreed response

The right information for your people.

Agree who can view cameras, manage credentials, acknowledge events and change system settings. We define roles around your premises and the selected platform.

CCTV monitoring, from our own control room.

Advanced Overwatch operates its own 24-hour CCTV Monitoring Control Room. We agree the camera alerts, available views and response instructions for the CCTV monitoring service you choose.

Intruder monitoring, through our partner.

Intruder alarm monitoring is provided through our monitoring partner’s NSI Gold certified Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Signalling, available verification and escalation are specified for your alarm arrangement.

Know what happens after an alert.

Set out keyholder contacts, escalation and any contracted response service. Access to video or door records depends on the chosen systems and permissions. Fire-signal arrangements are agreed separately.

Fire-signal handling and any life-safety interfaces require their own agreed design and arrangements.

Integrated security systems, answered.

An integrated security system connects selected systems so useful information or events can be shared. This might bring camera footage together with a door event or an intruder alarm. The design may use one platform or supported interfaces between separate systems. We confirm the connections, permissions and response rules for your premises.

Often, yes. We check the models, age, condition, software versions and supported interfaces before recommending changes. Cameras, panels or controllers may be retained where they are suitable. Compatibility and any licence or network requirements are confirmed through the survey, rather than assumed.

Not necessarily. A phased installation may allow suitable existing equipment to stay in use while the new arrangements are introduced. We agree the sequence, any planned interruptions and how protection is maintained during the work. The approach depends on the building and the systems involved.

Advanced Overwatch operates its own 24-hour CCTV Monitoring Control Room. Intruder alarm monitoring is provided through our monitoring partner’s NSI Gold certified Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Who receives an event, what information they can access and the response they follow are agreed for each service. Fire-signal arrangements are specified separately.

A coordinated service plan can make maintenance easier to manage. The work still depends on the individual systems, supported interfaces and software involved. We agree servicing responsibilities, update requirements and fault reporting as part of the project and maintenance arrangement.
