Incedo is ASSA ABLOY’s access control platform. It manages the doors, credentials and permissions for a building, or for several sites, from one browser-based dashboard. Advanced Overwatch designs, installs and maintains Incedo systems across Northern Ireland, and we are the first fully trained Incedo system integrator in Ireland.
What Incedo is
Incedo connects ASSA ABLOY’s door hardware to central management software. On the hardware side that means wired readers and controllers for main entrances, and battery-powered Aperio wireless locks, cylinders and handles with built-in RFID readers for the doors beyond them. Credentials can be cards, fobs or mobile keys on a phone, and one credential covers every door a person is allowed through.
The wireless side is what makes Incedo practical. Cabling every internal door for access control is disruptive, so most buildings never do it. A battery-powered Aperio lock fits the door you already have, which means stores, plant rooms, offices and records rooms can be brought under the same system without chasing cable through the building. Controllers keep working and logging locally if the network drops, then sync when it comes back.
Why our integrator status matters
Our access control engineers completed ASSA ABLOY’s Incedo integrator training, with hands-on configuration delivered in person and technical support direct from the manufacturer. You can read more about that in our post on becoming the first Incedo integrator in Ireland.
For customers in Northern Ireland it matters in two ways. The people who survey, install and maintain your system are trained on it by ASSA ABLOY, not learning as they go. And when a job needs manufacturer input, a firmware question, an unusual door, a credential migration, we deal with ASSA ABLOY directly rather than through a middleman.
Where Incedo fits
Offices. Control the front door, floors, server room and meeting rooms from one dashboard, and see who went through which door and when. Access rights change in minutes when staff join or leave, with no locks to swap and no keys to chase.
Schools. Separate access rights for teaching staff, admin and contractors, with a full audit trail. Doors can follow the timetable, unlocked for the school day and secured outside it.
Multi-site businesses. Manage every branch from the same system and add doors or sites as you grow, instead of buying a bigger system than you need on day one.
Installed under our SSAIB certification
Advanced Overwatch is SSAIB certificated (NIRE127) specifically for Intruder Alarm Systems, Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems. An Incedo project starts with a free site survey, is installed by our own engineers, and is handed over with the documentation your insurer expects. Where it makes sense we tie it into the rest of your security, for example triggering CCTV recording on access events or disarming the intruder alarm when a valid card is presented.
