Community Safety: Our Partnership with the Community Rescue Service
Our town centre CCTV network does more than deter crime. Monitored live from our control room, it helps locate vulnerable and high-risk missing persons across Northern Ireland, working alongside the Community Rescue Service.

A partnership that saves lives
Advanced Overwatch has been an official partner of the Community Rescue Service (CRS), the Lowland Rescue organisation for all of Northern Ireland, since 2022. From the very start, the partnership made an immediate impact for vulnerable and missing persons, and for people in crisis.
Our town centre CCTV network is monitored live, around the clock, from our CCTV control room. One of its core purposes is helping to locate vulnerable and high-risk missing persons quickly, when minutes matter most. Our operators work hand in hand with CRS search teams on the ground, and the results have saved lives.
Recognised for community impact
On 4 March 2023, in recognition of efforts that resulted in lives saved and a significant impact on communities across Northern Ireland, Advanced Overwatch received an award presented by Chris Todd, former Assistant Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (now Chief Constable of Humberside Police and NPCC lead for Data and Analytics and for Professional Standards and Ethics), and Sean McCarry OBE, Regional Commander and Head of Operations of the Community Rescue Service.
The partnership has gone from strength to strength ever since.
