What are CCTV Systems?

A CCTV System captures video and records it for the purposes of security.

At Advanced Overwatch, our CCTV systems provide surveillance capabilities used in the protection of people, assets, and systems. The CCTV systems we install for our customers serve mainly as a security force multiplier, providing surveillance for a larger area, more of the time, than would be feasible with security personnel alone.

CCTV systems which we install are often used with other products we provide to our customers such as an Intruder Alarm (burglar alarm) system which when used together form part of a comprehensive security system by incorporating video coverage and security alarms for barriers, intrusion detection, and access control. For example, a CCTV system can provide the means to assess an alarm generated by an intrusion detection system and record the event.

How do your CCTV Systems work?

Our CCTV systems link the cameras which we install to a video monitor and Network Video Recorder or Digital Video Recorder with the images are stored. The cameras can also be linked to a television using a direct transmission system and are connected to our customers ‘smart’ devices such as Mobile Phones, Tablets and Computers – The live and recorded CCTV can be viewed from any connected device which has been setup and which has an internet connection.
